Criteria for Assistance
All applicants must meet the basic eligibility requirements and submit completed applications with all required supporting documents in order to have their application reviewed.
CERF’s decision about the amount of funding, the type of funding (Quick Loan, Phoenix Loan, and/or Grant) and an applicant’s access to other services shall be based on the criteria listed below. The significance of each criterion varies depending on the type of assistance.
Criteria
- Degree of distress caused by emergency
- Applicant’s ability to run a professional business
- Impact that CERF’s assistance has on the applicant, as well as the impact that the applicant has had within the community where he/she resides and/or the craft community at large
- Ability to repay loan
- Quality of and interest in the applicant’s work
- Need (for Phoenix Loan only)
